Firefighters spent 24 minutes Thursday putting out a smoky fire in a commercial unit that was part of a row of single-story units in the Pacoima area of Los Angeles.

The fire was reported at 9:36 p.m. at 12780 W. Pierce Street, near Herrick Avenue, according to Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Margaret Stewart. Smoke was showing when firefighters arrived.

“Crews located an auto fire in one of the units and contained the fire, preventing any extension,” Stewart said. No injuries were reported.
