One person was found dead Tuesday morning after a fire tore through several mobile homes in Fullerton.

Two other people were injured in the fire, which was reported about 5 a.m. in the 1800 block of Orangethorpe Avenue, according to Deputy Chief Jon Fugitt of the Fullerton Fire Department.

One mobile home was completely engulfed in flames when crews from the Fullerton Fire Department and Anaheim Fire and Rescue responded to the blaze, according to Fugitt.

Images from the scene showed the roof of at least one of the units collapsed

Crews were still working the scene an hour after the blaze broke out, searching amid the smoking ruins of the homes for anyone who may have been trapped amid the rubble.

One person was found dead inside the unit where the fire was first reported and two other people were taken to a hospital, Fugitt said.

None of the victims’ ages or genders were immediately available, nor was an update on the injured patients’ conditions.

Crews from the Fullerton Fire Department and Anaheim Fire and Rescue responded to the blaze, Fugitt said.

The fire was brought under control in about 25 minutes, he said.

At least three units were damaged and the cause of the fire is under investigation by the Fullerton fire and police departments.
