Two people were found dead after a fire ripped through a residence Wednesday morning in Hollywood.
Los Angeles Fire Department responded at 2:55 a.m. Wednesday to a single-family home at 1760 N. Vista Del Mar Ave., south of the Hollywood (101) Freeway, where they knocked down enough flames to make entry and perform a search. During the search, firefighters found the victims and pulled them from the home, LAFD spokeswoman Lyndsey Lantz said.
The victims — whose names, ages and genders were not immediately known — were pronounced dead at the scene, Lantz said.
It took 43 firefighters 19 minutes to extinguish the flames.
Members of the LAFD’s Arson Section are in route to the scene to conduct its investigation of the fire. The medical examiner’s office was also called to the scene.
