A fire broke out Friday afternoon in an apartment in a 25-story building in the Sawtelle area of Los Angeles, but no one was injured.
The fire was reported at 12:29 p.m. at 11750 Wilshire Boulevard, according to Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Lyndsey Lantz.
Crews located the fire in an 18th-floor unit and put out the blaze in 17 minutes, she said.
Firefighters remained at the scene “for smoke removal and dewatering operations,” Lantz said.
