Firefighters Sunday were battling a fire that displaced six people from a two-story residence in Perris.

The fire was reported around 2:50 p.m. Sunday in the 700 block of Celebration Lane, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

Responding crews found the single-family residence with smoke showing.

A total of six adults were displaced. The American Red Cross was requested to assist them.

No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire was not immediately known.
