Fire damaged a garage at a residence in La Quinta, but no injuries were reported.
The blaze was reported at 1:14 p.m. Monday in the 81000 block of Legends Way, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
Arriving crews encountered light smoke showing from the garage, and the fire was contained at 1:32 p.m., according to the agency. The flames were restricted to the detached garage with minimal extension into the attic.
One golf cart was destroyed in the fire, fire officials said.
The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
