Firefighters extinguished a fire at a one-story, single-family house in Sherman Oaks where downed power wires and a pine tree may have caused the blaze, authorities said Thursday.
Firefighters responded at 8:33 p.m. Wednesday to 14922 West Rhinestone Drive, north of Mulholland Drive, where they attacked the flames that had spread to the structure’s attached garage, according to spokeswoman Lyndsey Lantz of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The fire was extinguished in 27 minutes and no injuries were reported, she added.
According to reports from the scene, the family’s dogs went missing in the fire but were later found and reunited with the family.
LAFD companies remained on the scene for overhaul of the fire damage, Lantz said.
