A Montebello hospital was evacuated Monday after a small fire broke out in a break room.
Los Angeles firefighters were dispatched to Adventist Health White Memorial at 309 W. Beverly Blvd. at 11:10 a.m. Monday to assist in the effort, according to Lyndsey Lantz of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The fire had already been knocked down prior to their arrival, authorities said.
Some patients were sent to a facility in Boyle Heights, ABC7 reported. Media coverage showed triage tarps set up outside the hospital.
A spokesperson with the Montebello Fire Department could not be reached for immediate comment.
