A small fire broke out in a North Hills townhouse Tuesday, but it was held in check by sprinklers and no injuries were reported.
Crews were sent about 11 a.m. to 9300 N. Burnett Ave., where they found the fire in a two-story townhouse, according to a Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman.
Hazmat specialists were dispatched because a lithium ion battery was involved, but it was not immediately clear if that is what sparked the blaze.
