A laptop burst into flames Wednesday in a Hollywood apartment, prompting a firefighter response.
The fire was reported just after 9 a.m. Wednesday at a four-story building at 1746 N. Cherokee Ave., according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
“Fire crews investigated the building and found a laptop on fire in a unit,” according to a department statement.
Hazmat personnel were summoned to dispose of the lithium-ion battery that ignited.
No injuries were reported.
