A fire broke out Thursday at a mobile home in Palm Springs before it was contained.
The blaze was reported at 12:45 a.m. Thursday in the Palm Canyon Mobile Home Club, located on Pali Drive, according to the Palm Springs Fire Department.
The agency said arriving crews encountered light smoke coming from a double-wide mobile home and found a small kitchen fire with smoke inside the home.
Crews found two occupants inside the residence, who were removed from the building and taken to a hospital for further medical assessment. It was unclear if they sustained any injuries.
Firefighters extinguished the blaze and contained the fire to the kitchen area. Crews remained at the scene for an unspecified amount of time to “ventilate the structure and ensure all hazards were mitigated before clearing the incident,” fire officials said.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
