A quarter-acre brush fire broke out Monday in Jurupa Valley, but it was quickly halted without any injuries or structural damage.
The fire was reported at 8:51 a.m. Monday in the area of Limonite Avenue and Bain Street, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
Arriving crews encountered a vegetation fire burning in heavy fuel, but with a slow rate of spread, fire officials said. Fire crews managed to halt the spread of the blaze at 9:26 a.m., with about a quarter-acre burned.
The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
