Firefighters quickly knocked down a fire early Monday morning that broke out at a Target store on the first floor of a commercial building in Silver Lake.
The blaze was reported at 1:02 a.m. Monday at 609 N. Dillon St. Firefighters extinguished the flames within 35 minutes of the initial 911 call, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The fire was successfully confined to the first floor of the three-story structure which houses two floors of apartments above the Target. There were approximately 50 apartment units with many occupied at the time of the fire, but authorities confirmed that all occupants exited safely.
No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire remained undetermined. The investigation was ongoing.
