Fire and explosions forced crews to take up defensive positions while battling a blaze Friday at a home in Reseda.
The fire was reported about 9 a.m. Friday at 7034 North Baird Ave., just west of Reseda Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Crews initially attacked the blaze, which was reported to have started in a garage and spread to an adjacent house, but were ordered to fight the flames from outside the structure after explosions, possibly from propane tanks, were heard, a department spokesman said.
The blaze was put out by 9:18 a.m. with no injuries reported, he said.
