Two houses suffered minor damage Friday as a result of a water main rupture in Studio City, which interrupted service to about five dozen residences, authorities said.
The 8-inch main ruptured about 2:30 a.m. in a residential neighborhood on Halkirk Street near the intersection of Goodland Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power.
Water to the main was closed off within 30 minutes, and crews worked to repair it. Service was restored early this afternoon.
