Candidates for Los Angeles’ 2015 primary nominating election may begin filing their declarations of intention to run for office.
The deadline to file the declarations to appear on the March 3 ballot is Saturday.
The offices being contested are the City Council seats for Districts 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 and 14; the District 1, 3, 5 and 7 seats on the Los Angeles Unified School District Board of Education and Seats 1, 3, 5 and 7 on the Los Angeles Community College District Board of Trustees.
The declarations can be picked up and filed at the Office of City Clerk- Election Division at Piper Technical Center, 555 Ramirez St., Space 300, from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. weekdays and 8 a.m.-noon Saturday.
Nomination petitions must be filed between Saturday and Dec. 3.
