Vice President Joe Biden will return to Southern California next week to speak at a pair of conferences, the White House announced Wednesday.
Biden will be in Anaheim Sept. 16 to speak at the Solar Power International Conference. The trade show begins Monday at the Anaheim Convention Center and continues through Sept. 17.
Also on Sept. 16, Biden will be in Los Angeles to speak at the U.S.- China Climate Leaders Summit, which has been billed by Mayor Eric Garcetti as an effort by officials from both countries to discuss efforts to reduce greenhouse gases and fight global climate change.
The two-day summit is scheduled one week ahead of a planned meeting between President Barack Obama and Chinese President Xi Jinping in Washington, D.C., and well ahead of the United Nations climate conference being held in December in Paris.
Details of Biden’s travel schedule have not yet been announced.
Biden was in the Los Angeles area in late July to speak at a North Hollywood business in support of a minimum wage hike and attend a Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee fundraiser in Beverly Hills.
