
Mayor Eric Garcetti will be in Indianapolis from today through Monday to attend the 84th annual meeting of the U.S. Conference of Mayors.
Garcetti will discuss Los Angeles’ CleanStat program, which tracks data on the cleanliness of city’s streets, and join a Criminal and Social Justice Standing Committee as it discusses efforts to stop the collection of criminal data in college applications.
Garcetti will also chair the first meeting of the conference’s Latino Alliance and meet with Matthew Doherty, director of the U.S. Interagency Council on Homelessness, to discuss Los Angeles’ efforts to address homelessness.
Other mayors from Los Angeles and Orange counties planning to attend the meeting include Steven Choi (Irvine); Jim Clarke (Culver City); Laurie Davies (Laguna Niguel); Diane Dixon (Newport Beach); Patrick Furey (Torrance); Lauren Meister (West Hollywood); John Mirisch (Beverly Hills); Miguel Pulido (Santa Ana); Tom Tait (Anaheim); and Tony Vasquez (Santa Monica).
