U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch continues the final portion of her national “Community Policing Tour” today, taking part in a Facebook Live town hall from the social media site’s Playa Vista campus.

Thursday’s event will be moderated by “Fruitvale Station” and “Creed” star Michael B. Jordan, with participation from actress Yara Shahidi of ABC’s “Blackish.” It will be live-streamed on Facebook’s “Live” page and on the U.S. Justice Department’s social media platforms.

“One of my top priorities as attorney general is strengthening relationships between law enforcement officers and the communities we serve and protect,” Lynch said. “We are here on this stop of the Community Policing Tour to show how social media can be used as a vital tool to provide both transparency and opportunity for meaningful interactions into law enforcement thought and policy.”

The town hall audience will consist of local high school and college students, Los Angeles Police Department “cadets” (youth volunteers) and 15 officers from the Hollenbeck Police Activities League and Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

On Wednesday, Lynch met with LAPD Chief Charlie Beck, Mayor Eric Garcetti and U.S. Attorney Eileen Decker for an LAPD technology briefing, discussing real-time crime analysis. Lynch was also briefed on the department’s Virtual Ride Along and body-camera programs.
