Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti is out of the state for a weeklong personal vacation that is scheduled to last until Friday, when he will attend the 85th annual United States Conference of Mayors meeting in Miami Beach.
Garcetti press secretary Alex Comisar would not reveal where the mayor is traveling while on vacation, but said he’ll have several speaking engagements at the four-day conference, which begins Friday.
This is Garcetti’s fourth major trip since May. He delivered the keynote opening address at the Center for American Progress’ Ideas Conference in Washington, D.C., on May 16, and on May 20 he spoke at the California Democratic Party Convention in Sacramento before traveling to Wisconsin to speak June 2 at the Democratic Party of Wisconsin State Convention.
Garcetti, who left Los Angeles last Friday, is due back on Sunday.
On Friday, Garcetti is scheduled to participate in a session on infrastructure investment with DJ Gribbin, who is a special assistant to President Donald Trump on infrastructure policy, and Oklahoma City Mayor Mick Cornett.
On Saturday, Garcetti is scheduled to lead a joint meeting of the Latino Alliance and the Immigration Reform Task Force with Providence, Rhode Island Mayor Jorge Elorza.
