First lady Jill Biden is in the Southland for a series of fundraisers and appearances in this weekend.
Biden was greeted by Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass when she arrived and was scheduled to attend a political fundraiser in an undisclosed location in Los Angeles during the evening.
She is scheduled to arrive in Palm Springs on Saturday and speak at a fundraiser around midday. The event is being hosted by James Costos, former U.S. ambassador to Spain under the Obama administration, and his partner Michael Smith, who own a home in Rancho Mirage.
According to KESQ3, the guest list includes Barry Manilow and former California Sen. Barbara Boxer.
Biden is scheduled to speak at the Human Rights Campaign’s 2024 Dinner in Los Angeles on Saturday at 7 p.m.
She is scheduled to attend an event in Los Angeles as part of the White House initiative on Women’s Health Research on Monday.
