A Metro train on the Ventura County line hit and killed a person on the tracks Friday at the intersection of Buena Vista Street and Vanowen Street, and all train service has been stopped on the line.
The crash happened at 5:50 a.m. Friday. A Metro official told KNX there were 39 passengers on the train traveling and no one on the train was injured.
Bus service has been set up to take passengers to and from the Hollywood Burbank Airport to Union Station in downtown Los Angeles.
The victim was likely a Latina adult female, police said.
The Burbank Police Department is diverting traffic away from the crash site and advising people to avoid the area.
