Clear skies and warm temperatures were predicted this week in Riverside County, with some areas reaching triple digits on Memorial Day, the National Weather Service said Sunday.

Sunday was expected to see a high of 76 in the Riverside metropolitan area and 78 in Hemet. The Coachella Valley was predicted to reach 95 on Sunday with winds ranging from 10 to 20 mph and gusts of up to 35 mph.

The NWS predicted warm temperatures in the Riverside metropolitan and Hemet areas on Memorial Day, reaching a high of 81 in Riverside and 84 in Hemet, while the Coachella Valley was expected to reach 100 degrees. Winds in the Coachella Valley were expected to remain from 15 to 20 mph through Tuesday.

The rest of the week in the downtown Riverside area will range from the low-to-mid 80s, according to the NWS. The Coachella Valley is expected to remain in the 100s, reaching a high of 103 by next Saturday.
