The Palm Springs International ShortFest will conclude Monday with its “Best of Fest” screenings.
Juries from the 30th annual festival announced their awards selections Sunday, with the Best of the Festival award given to Esteban Pedraza’s “Bogotá Story.”
Other Academy Award-qualifying prize winners include “The Car That Came Back from the Sea” (Best Animated Short), “Seat 31: Zooey Zephyr” (Best Documentary Short), “Oyu” (Best Live-Action Short Over 15 Minutes), and “Complications” (Best Live-Action Short 15 Minutes and Under).
A total of $25,000 in prize money was handed out across the jury-selected winners. The award-winning shorts will be screened throughout the day Monday and can be viewed online from July 10-14.
