The Superior Court of Los Angeles County unveiled its new website Tuesday, which officials touted as a “modern digital experience” and a “major milestone.”
The new site can be found at www.LACourt.ca.gov, officially replacing the previous site, www.LACourt.org. Users who visit the old website address will automatically be redirected to www.LACourt.ca.gov.
Officials said the move to a .gov address “enhances trust, transparency and alignment with statewide digital standards used by most California government entities.”
“The launch of the Court’s new website represents a major milestone in the Court’s mission to meet the needs of court users wherever they are,” Presiding Judge Sergio Tapia II said. “We are proud of the hard work and dedication that went into this effort. The new design puts the user first, whether accessing the site from a phone, tablet or desktop. It is now easier than ever to find important information and services.”
The court said the new site involved nearly two years of planning, design and development.
Key features include:
— A streamlined home page with quick links to commonly used resources and features.
— A mobile-responsive layout that improves usability across all device types.
— Updated content with clearer explanations to improve accessibility for all court users, including self-represented litigants.
— An interactive “CourtHelp” tool offering tailored responses to frequently asked questions.
— Improved translation options, powered by Google Translate, to better serve diverse communities.
