New activities are coming to the Paramount Park Community Center, authorities said Saturday.
Rep. Nanette Barragan, D-San Pedro, was scheduled to visit the park Monday to present a $500,000 check to the city of Paramount to expand the center.
The money secured during recent appropriations in Congress will help develop a fitness room, create two outdoor areas for seniors, redo the main auditorium and enhance the landscape at the community center at 14400 Paramount Blvd., according to Barragan’s office.
