The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors announced a $25,000 reward Tuesday for information leading to the capture and conviction of those responsible for the fatal shooting of a 22-year-old woman in South Los Angeles in July 2024.

Raejonette Morgan was traveling southbound on Vermont Avenue in a white Mercedes at approximately 7:45 p.m. on July 2, 2024, approaching the Glen Anderson (105) Freeway on-ramp, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

Sheriff’s officials said the occupants of the suspect vehicle drove up next to the Mercedes on the driver’s side and shot Morgan several times, causing her vehicle to crash into the corner of the freeway’s on-ramp.

The suspect vehicle fled the area and was last seen heading south on Vermont Avenue.

Investigators identified the vehicle as a two-door 2016-18 blue Honda Civic with a spoiler, louvers on the rear window, black wheels, and loud exhaust.

Anyone with information regarding the fatal attack was urged to call the sheriff’s Homicide Bureau at 323-890-5500. Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous can call Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477 or visit lacrimestoppers.org.
