Snap reached a settlement Monday with two female plaintiffs in a social media addiction lawsuit, three days after Meta also reached an agreement with them.

The plaintiffs were identified only as K.D.B., 18, and S.J., 16. The Snap settlement was announced during a hearing before Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Carolyn B. Kuhl.

Before jury selection resumed Friday following the announcement of the Meta settlement, the judge and attorneys agreed on a revised description of the case to be read to jurors, as well as a revised estimate of the trial’s length given Meta’s absence.

“Our ultimate goal is to hold these social media companies accountable for how their actions have impacted millions of children across the country, and these settlements allow us to keep building toward that goal,” plaintiffs’ attorney John Morgan said.

The settlement terms with Meta and Snap were not disclosed.

Another young woman, identified only as K.G.M. of Chico, was awarded $6 million in her negligence case against Meta and YouTube in March. All the cases allege that the social media platforms have dangerously addictive features.
