Funeral services were pending Monday for actress Marcia Strassman, who died after a long fight with breast cancer. She was 66.
Strassman was known for her roles in such TV hits as “Welcome Back, Kotter” and “Mash.” She also appeared opposite Rick Moranis in the 1989 Disney live-action hit “Honey I Shrunk the Kids” and the 1992 sequel “Honey I Blew Up the Kid” and was also in 1985 film “The Aviator.”
Strassman died Friday at her home in Sherman Oaks. She is survived by her daughter, costume designer Elizabeth Collector, her sister, Julie, and brother, Steven.
Julie Strassman requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Marcia Strassman’s name to cancer organizations such as the Susan B. Komen Foundation and the American Cancer Society, Variety reported.
