“Mad Men” creator Matthew Weiner, along with cast members and writers, are expected Wednesday at Los Angeles City Hall when city officials honor the hit TV drama that recently ended after a seven-season run.

The council is scheduled to declare June 17, 2015, “Mad Men Day.”

Aside from Weiner, appearances by specific cast members, including the stars, have not been confirmed, council aides said.

“‘Mad Men’ is a landmark television show that will go down in history as one of the greatest, most compelling character studies of all time,” said Los Angeles City Councilman Paul Krekorian, who chairs the council’s committee on film and television jobs.

Krekorian said the show is “shot almost entirely in Los Angeles” and has made “significant contributions to our local economy” by providing “steady jobs for actors, writers and hundreds of below-the-line production workers for years.”
