— The Hollywood Gossip (@THGossip) July 16, 2015
Peter Berg, director of “Lone Survivor” and creator of TV’s “Friday Night Lights,” came under social media fire for his Instagram comment on Caitlyn Jenner.
“One man traded 2 legs for the freedom of the other to trade 2 balls for 2 boobs,” Berg said on the image. “Guess which man made the cover of Vanity Fair, was praised for his courage by President Obama and is to be honored with the ‘Arthur Ashe Courage Award’ by ESPN?”
But Berg had his backers as well, with more than 1,700 Likes on his post by Thursday morning.

I stopped paying any real attention to Peter Berg after VERY BAD THINGS, so feeling pret-ty smug right now.

Peter Berg has no right in criticizing #CaitlynJenner. His movies are boring. He’s never won a major award. Sour grapes I say! Limp dick!

Expressing an opinion does not make @peterberg “transphobic”. ” Accept us or else” gets you a two word answer. FU. https://t.co/9i8uTwyI7F
