Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert have been granted a divorce after four years of marriage, with the country music stars telling The Associated Press: “This is not the future we envisioned.”
The gossip site TMZ, which broke the story, reported that Shelton, 39, suspected Lambert, 31, of cheating.
But the New York Post, quoting an unnamed source, said: “He is eager to have children, but she really enjoys not being tied down. I think they both were off on what the time frame would be.”
“It is with heavy hearts that we move forward separately,” they said in a statement two weeks after Shelton reportedly filed for divorce. “We are real people, with real lives, with real families, friends and colleagues. Therefore, we kindly ask for privacy and compassion concerning this very personal matter.”
