Cher, who recently marked her 50th anniversary as an entertainer, is going after Donald Trump on Twitter — even announcing: “IF HE WERE TO BE ELECTED,IM MOVING TO JUPITER.”
A Huffington Post blogger tried to calm her down, saying: “Stay put, Cher. Trump is not going to be nominated or elected, and everyone knows it (except possibly Trump). Eventually our national nightmare will be over, and we can all return to Earth.”
But in a series of tweets since her Jupiter announcement, the 69-year-old singer/actress goes beyond the giant planet in extreme rhetoric, dropping the A-word frequently.
The late Sonny Bono, her husband during pop star duo days, was a Republican congressman representing the Palm Springs area. His headstone epitaph reads: “And the Beat Goes On.”
