President Obama on Tuesday will stand on Exit Glacier in Alaska’s Kenai Mountains, the White House says, following NBC’s announcement that he will appear on an episode of “Running Wild With Bear Grylls.”

NBC said in a news release that Obama will “observe the effects of climate change on the area” and “President Obama will become the first U.S. president to receive a crash course in survival techniques from Bear Grylls.”

“Running Wild” is in its second season. Grylls is shown tutoring celebs such as Ben Stiller, Channing Tatum and Zac Efron. Also Kate Winslet and New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees.

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin had yet to comment publicly as of Monday morning.
