The daughter of the late actor Ray Sharkey was charged Tuesday with capital murder in the weekend beating death of her boyfriend’s mother in Reseda.
Cecelia Bonnie Sharkey, 26, of Los Angeles, is scheduled to be arraigned Oct. 5 at the Van Nuys courthouse in connection with thes killing of Patricia Metropoulos, 54.
The murder count includes the special circumstance allegation of murder while lying in wait, along with an allegation that Sharkey used a baseball bat in the commission of Saturday’s attack.
Prosecutors will decide later whether to seek a death sentence against Sharkey, who was arrested Saturday afternoon and is being held without bail.
Her father, who starred in the “Wiseguy” television series, died in 1993 of complications from AIDS.
