Retired “The Price Is Right” host Bob Barker was recovering Wednesday after being injured in a fall near his Hollywood Hills home that was witnessed by passing police officers, according to authorities.
The 91-year-old former daytime TV star was treated at a hospital and released.
Officers who happened to be in the area saw Barker trip over a curb in the 1800 block of Outpost Drive, said Officer Ricardo Hernandez of the Los Angeles Police Department‘s Media Relations Section.
Barker hit his head and sustained lacerations, Hernandez said.
The officers called an ambulance and Barker was taken in stable condition to a hospital, Hernandez said.
Barker received stitches at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center before being released after the Tuesday morning accident, according to the Los Angeles Times.
