Instagram say their accounts are being deleted for posting videos of Jackson in her Unbreakable concert tour. And it’s not just a matter of recording her music.
Deletions have hit users who post still photos, according to Page Six.
“Numerous fans have claimed that after posting pics of Jackson live in concert, they’ve received e-mails from the social-media app explaining: ‘a third party reported that the content violates their copyright,'” said Page Six. “One Jackson concert-goer in Los Angeles told Page Six that the morning after the concert, her Instagram account was deleted, ‘Without warning. Every. Single. Photo. Gone.’ ”
An Instagram spokesperson blamed the issue on “a bug.” and said: “We have fixed the bug and are in the process of restoring the impacted accounts.” Only “repeat infringers'” accounts will be deleted.
