“Star Trek” fanatic Sheldon Cooper of “The Big Bang Theory” is transported into his sci-fi fantasies in the CBS show’s episode Nov. 5. He meets the son of Leonard “Spock” Nimoy.

CBS says that in “The Spock Resonance,” recurring guest star Wil Wheaton appears alongside Adam, a writer and director in real life, who asks Sheldon to be in a documentary about his father.
While being interviewed, Sheldon struggles to suppress his emotions about his recent break-up with Amy, despite his overwhelming excitement for the sci-fi subject matter.
Leonard Nimoy, who died in February, has never appeared on “The Big Bang Theory” but his presence has been felt in many episodes.
In “The Codpiece Topology,” Sheldon attends a Renaissance faire dressed as Spock, complete with Vulcan ears. In “The Transporter Malfunction,” Sheldon had a dream about a Spock action figure that comes to life.
