Kate Winslet’s Titanic revelation: She could have saved DiCaprio

It was a throwaway line in her visit Monday with Jimmy Kimmel, but Kate Winslet said her doomed lover played by Leonardo DiCaprio didn’t have to die in “Titanic.“

Of course, that would have spoiled the whole 1997 movie.

But the topic was trending on Facebook because the Oscar-winning actress, now 40, said: “I agree; I think he could have actually fit on that bit of door,” referring to the raft she was on, where she watched Jack sink into the frigid north Atlantic.

So is there a James Cameron sequel in the works, where the drowning sequence was just a dream?
