
A movie featuring two superheroes thrashing each other clobbered the competition at the weekend box office, final figures out Monday show.
“Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” raked in $166 million in its North American debut, more than the combined takes of the other top 10 movies and the best-ever Easter weekend opening.

“Zootopia” was in second place, earning $24 million from Friday to Sunday and boosting its domestic take in four weeks to $241.4 million, according to comScore.
“My Big Fat Greek Weddings 2” ($17.8 million) opened in third place, followed by “Miracle From Heaven” ($9.6 million) and “The Divergent Series: Allegiant” ($9.4 million).
Rounding out the top 10 were “10 Cloverfield Lane” ($5.9 million), “Deadpool” ($4.8 million), “London Has Fallen” ($3 million), “Hello, My Name is Doris” ($1.6 million) and “Risen” ($935,000).
