Johnny Depp isn’t really a billionaire deal-making businessman. He just plays one on TV. But that’s old news.
“If Donald Trump is elected president of the United States in a kind of historical way, it’s exciting because we will see the actual last president of the United States,” Depp told Minnie Stephenson of Britain’s Channel 5 “It just won’t work after that.”

As Business Insider noted: “At the red-carpet premiere of ‘Alice Through the Looking Glass’ in London, he told the Daily Mail what he thinks would happen if Trump took the White House. … Earlier this year, he played Trump in a 50-minute ‘movie of the week’ spoof for Funny or Die, riffing on the businessman’s book, ‘The Art of the Deal.'”
Rolling Stone, which detailed the Trump spoof, said Depp’s scenes were shot over four days in December.
His remarks on Trump may circulate longer than that.
A few reactions:
Johnny Depp says Trump would be a disaster as president. He didn’t specify if the disaster level was “Lone Ranger” bad or full “Mortdecai.”
