The divorce bug is biting more celebrities, with Lisa Marie Presley filing court papers to end her marriage to musician Michael Lockwood, while Dennis Quaid’s wife filed for divorce from the actor for a second time.
Presley, 48, filed for divorce Friday in Los Angeles Superior Court, citing irreconcilable differences. Her marriage to Lockwood, 55, is her fourth. The couple have been married for 10 years, and they have 7-year-old twin daughters.
Presley, daughter of the late Elvis Presley, was previously married to Michael Jackson, actor Nicholas Cage and singer-songwriter Danny Keough.
Meanwhile, Kimberly Quaid filed divorce papers Monday in Los Angeles Superior Court, seeking to end her marriage of nearly 12 years to actor Dennis Quaid.
The couple issued a joint statement to TMZ, saying, “After careful consideration, we have decided to end our 12-year marriage. The decision was made amicably and with mutual respect toward one another. We will always remain great friends and devoted partners in raising our children.”
Quaid, 62, and Kimberly Quaid, 45, were married in 2004, and they had twins, Thomas and Zoe, in 2007. The couple made headlines shortly after the children were born, saying the infants were accidentally given an overdose of a blood-thinner that endangered their lives.
The children recovered, but Kimberly Quaid filed for divorce in March 2012. The couple reconciled a year later and the divorce case was dropped.
