Digital magic allowed “The Daily Show” to depict Donald Trump as president, getting conflicting advice from Trump clones in a Cabinet meeting. But the concept of Trump vs. Trump is far from new.
On Wednesday night, host Trevor Noah set up the gag by showing the GOP candidate saying: “I’m speaking with myself, No. 1, because I have a very good brain, and I’ve said a lot of things.”
Noah responded: “That sounds like something you’d only hear from a guy with a bad brain.” But it led to a good video.
In January, Stephen Colbert used Trump’s refusal to appear on a Fox News debate as an excuse to show the “2016 Top Tremendous All-You-Can Trump Luxury Presidential Debate.”
