
The latest installment of the popular “Bourne” spy dramas was the top-grossing movie in North American theaters this weekend, according to estimated figures released Sunday by comScore.
“Jason Bourne,” once again starring Matt Damon as the titular hero, earned $60 million in its debut weekend.

Another long-running film franchise took second place, with “Star Trek Beyond” earning $24 million in theaters in the United States and Canada.
The comedy “Bad Moms” debuted in third place with $23.4 million.
“The Secret Life of Pets” was fourth with $18.2 million, while the horror film “Lights Out” made $10.8 million.
Rounding out the top 10 were “Ice Age: Collision Course” with $10.5 million; “Ghostbusters” with $9.8 million; “Nerve” with $9 million; “Finding Dory” with $4.2 million; and “The Legend Of Tarzan” with $2.4 million.
