It’s going to be something of an odd cast of well-known and sometimes reviled characters on “Dancing with the Stars” when Rio Olympics bad boy Ryan Lochte will strut his stuff, as will failed GOP presidential hopeful Rick Perry, a former Texas governor known for his “oops” debate performance.

Perry and Olympic gold medalists Lochte and Laurie Hernandez are among the 13-member cast announced Tuesday for the fall season of ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars.”

Swimming star Lochte made headlines near the end of the Rio Olympics when he admitted to fabricating a story about an armed holdup in a gas station in the Brazilian city.

The “Dancing with the Stars” cast will also include “Brady Bunch” alumna Maureen McCormick; country singer Jana Kramer; 11-time Grammy-winning rhythm and blues singer Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds; rapper Vanilla Ice; and recently retired Detroit Lions receiver Calvin Johnson Jr.

The other cast members for the series’ 23rd season introduced Tuesday on “Good Morning America” were model turned actress and talk show host Amber Rose; actor Jake T. Austin; actress Marilu Henner; reality television personality Terra Jole; and race car driver James Hinchcliffe.

The fall season of “Dancing with the Stars”‘ begins Sept. 12.
