Stallone’s brother Frank even took to Instagram to vouch for the liveness of Sly.
So why is the fraud still floating?

There’s a phishing motive, according to Snopes, which reported: “The … Facebook message linked to a clickbait web site known for creating and sharing celebrity death hoaxes. … This web site spreads misinformation (almost always a death hoax) in an attempt to bait people into giving away their information.”
Frank Stallone has his own ideas: “To all my fans and friends there is this rumor that my brother has died! It is totally false unless I was just speaking with a ghost. I would like to find the person who started this unfunny rumor and turn them into a ghost. We are fine and love you all.”
