Justin Bieber has dipped his Canadian toe into U.S. politics, tweeting support for medical marijuana and attacking “Big Pharma” for trying to derail legalization.
“The surprising advocacy popped up in a post on the Justin Bieber Twitter account shortly after the ‘Sorry’ singer wrapped his ‘Purpose World Tour’ show at the Parken Stadium in Copenhagen, Denmark,” said inquisitr.com.

“The tweet links to an ATTN: video that concisely explains the fight between pharmaceutical companies and medical marijuana advocates,” huffingtonpost.com notes.
“Drug companies are worried because marijuana is an alternative to painkillers,” the video says.

Voters will decide marijuana’s fate across the country, The Cannabist reports.
“Come November, voters in at least nine states will decide on whether to legalize either the recreational use or the medical use of marijuana. As it stands now, those states include: Arizona, Arkansas, California, Florida, Maine, Massachusetts, Montana, Nevada and North Dakota.”
Bieber’s interests aren’t all so serious.
