Donald Trump’s vow that “we will have so much winning” if he’s elected president may not apply Sept. 13, 2017, when the International Olympic Committee picks the 2024 Games host.

The loser would be Los Angeles, insiders told Christine Brennan of USA Today.

Odds would improve for rivals Paris and Budapest if Trump occupied the Oval Office in 2017, U.S. bidders say.

“One person said that a Trump victory on Election Day next Tuesday would be an 8½ to 9 on a 10-point ‘catastrophe’ scale for L.A.’s chances,” Brennan wrote. “Another referred to it as ‘the ultimate disaster movie.’”

Los Angeles would face a tough time gaining IOC votes from Islamic and Latin countries, as well as female IOC members, if Trump were president, she wrote Thursday.

Four unnamed sources “involved with” the U.S. Olympic effort say they based their views on Trump’s comments during the campaign about Muslims, Mexicans, immigrants and women, as well as his boast caught on videotape that he can sexually assault women, the story said.

Trump may not care, earlier stories suggest.
