Whether or not Harrison’s Ford character in “Bladerunner 2049” turns out to be a replicant, early comments on the newly released trailer indicate high hopes for a sharp sequel.

We hear:
Entertainment Weekly admitted “Sure, we don’t totally know what is going on, but here’s the synopsis courtesy of Alcon Entertainment: Thirty years after the events of the first film, a new blade runner, LAPD Officer K (Ryan Gosling), unearths a long-buried secret that has the potential to plunge what’s left of society into chaos. K’s discovery leads him on a quest to find Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), a former LAPD blade runner who has been missing for 30 years.
“The film also stars Ana de Armas, Robin Wright, Jared Leto, Barkhad Abdi, Lennie James, Mackenzie Davis, and Sylvia Hoeks, and will arrive in theaters on Oct. 6, 2017.”

If this movie somehow ends up being terrible, I want my memories of me watching it to be lost in time, like tears in rain #BladeRunner2049

#BladeRunner2049. I am bang up for this. Until Deckard’s son impales him on a walkway. https://t.co/fyKODyO9QN

#BladeRunner2049 looks like it may actually be a worthy sequel to a classic film. The trailer recaptures tone and atmosphere of the original
