Morgan Freeman, who’s played God twice on film and hosts a TV series on the Almighty, wants to give Satan equal time.

“I always want to do something else — always,” he said Monday at the 16th annual AARP Movies for Grownups Awards at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel, where he accepted a Career Achievement Award.
Freeman told the Daily News that going from God to Devil is sensible, since “they’re both sides of the same coin.”
His previous gigs as God included “Bruce Almighty” with Jim Carrey in 2003 and “Evan Almighty” with Steve Carell in 2007.
But he’s not ready to meet his maker (or the alternative), he told the paper.
“When you get to be my age and you’re still working, every day is a blessing,” he’s quoted as saying. “I’m 79 and a half — and a half. Well it just means you’re that much closer to the next one, you know?”
In accepting his award, Freeman said: “These are troubling times, but I am confident we can get through whatever the next few years will bring, because as grownups we know this — this, too, shall pass.”
The Hollywood Reporter said he got a standing ovation.
